New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks news

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton on Sunday before the Saints football game versus the Detroit Lions that was played at the Mercedes Benz Superdome was upset about a report that his wide receiver Brandin Cooks who is eligible to become a free agent at the end of the 2016 football season is going to be traded to another football team after the regular season is finished.Cooks is unhappy with his role as wide receiver with the team this year which led the reporter to ask Coach Payton about a possible trade of his star wide receiver. Payton denies any reports from the sports media that the Saints plan to trade Cooks to another team so they can get some players in return so they rebuild the team for the near future if Cooks did leave the football team at the end of the 2015 football season. All I can say is that the media got what they wanted from the Saints head coach, a sound bite of Payton calling the story “garbage.”Oh by the way the Saints (5-7) lost the football game to the Detroit Lions (8-4) by a final score of 28-13.I doubt the  Cooks story had anything to do with the Saints losing the football game since the Lions are on a mission to make a playoff run this football season while the Saints are likely to miss the playoffs this year.News source Image courtesy of
