Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford news

Hello everyone to another sports blog from a casual football fan of the National Football League for Thursday.Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was not selected to play in the National Football League Pro Bowl on January 29, 2017 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando Florida.Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys, Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers were selected to play in the All Star Game that will have football players from the American Football Conference versus football players from the National Football Conference.Stafford who was a first round draft choice of the Detroit Lions in the 2009 National Football League Draft out of Georgia.Stafford kind of took a middle of the road stance not being selected to play in the football all star game that in my opinion should be played in the middle of the football season and not the week before the Super Bowl simply made the comments “I don’t know” and “I don’t care” according to a report from Michael David Smith of NBC Sports on Thursday. The Lions are currently in first place in the National Football Conference North Division standings with a record of 9-5 with two games to go in the current regular football season with a road game versus the Dallas Cowboys (12-2) and at home versus the Green Bay Packers (8-6).Stafford is concerned to lead his team to two more wins so the Lions can get into the playoffs and aim to make to the Super Bowl as the representative of the National Football Conference when Super Bowl LI will be played on February 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston Texas.Maybe Stafford’s injured middle finger on his right hand may have been a factor why he was not selected to make the NFC Pro Bowl roster.News source and image is courtesy of
