Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck news

Good news for Indianapolis Colts football fans. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said on Thursday his star quarterback Andrew Luck had successful surgery on his right shoulder.Irsay did mention in his statement that Luck had been playing with the injury to his right shoulder the last two football seasons which may have been a factor why his performance as the quarterback of the Colts was below the level of an elite quarterback that Colts have expected of him as the successor to Peyton Manning. The recovery time for Luck after the surgery will be at least three months before he can resume throwing a football again but he should be ready to resume his duties as the starting quarterback of the Colts around the middle of July according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.Now the Colts management will need to give Luck an offensive line to protect him during the 2017 football season after Luck was sacked 41 times during the 2016 football season which was tied for second place in the National Football League stats.Maybe a healthy Luck will in the 2017 football season will  be able to break the streak of  the Colts not making the playoffs the last two years. Maybe the saying holds true. As Luck goes, so do the Colts.News sources NFL.com and Sports Illustrated. Image courtesy of Pinterest.com
