The NFL should change their sudden death overtime rules

Welcome to another edition of the Super Bowl 51 review by your humble sports blogger from Ancon Panama. The National Football League in my opinion needs to change their suddent death overtime rules that if one football team scores a touchdown after winning the coin toss in the possession of the football, the game is over.I am not speaking for Atlanta Falcons fans who I feel their pain of losing to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51 in Houston Texas on Sunday evening in one of the greatest Super Bowls ever.Correct me if I am wrong but in college football when one football team scores a touchdown, the opposing team gets a chance to tie the game to force another overtime period. Many football fans that I know prefer the college level on football that is sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).Sure the record of Super Bowl 51 will say the New England Patriots did win their fifth Vince Lombardi Trophy in the history of their franchise by coming back from a 25 point deficit in the middle of the third quarter after trailing the Falcons 28-3.But I can see some Falcons fans lamenting that their football team did not get a chance to respond when Patriots running back James White scored the winning touchdown in overtime. Remember this officials of the National Football League, the fans who pay the salaries of the players deserve to see a real winner in a championship contest like the Super Bowl with a change in the overtime rules needed since the ratings of the 2016 football season took a tumble because the fans decided to find another way to be entertained on Sundays besides watching football games. My hat is off to the New England Patriots who remember the saying of the late Lawrence Peter “Yogi” Berra who coined the phrase “It ain’t over till it’s over.”News source AOL Sports and the image is courtesy of
