Former Heisman Trophy winner and Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young who was the starting quarterback of the Titans who last played in six regular season games as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 before retiring from playing football in 2014, is working with his sports agent Leigh Steinberg into seeing if he latch on with the Saskatchwan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League before the start of the 2017 football season. The Roughriders traded their starting quarterback Darian Durant to the Montreal Aloulettes last month. The Roughriders need a veteran starting quarterback on their roster since the Roughriders current roster of quarterback are Brandon Bridge, Mitchell Gane and GJ Kinne.Young won the Heisman Trophy in 2005 as the starting quarterback of the University of Texas Longhorns who won the National Championship of college football by beating the University of Southern California Trojans in the 2006 Rose Bowl.Young 33, played in the National Football League with the Tennessee Titans from 2006-2010, the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 and was on the practice teams of the Buffalo Bills in 2012, the Green Bay Packers in 2013 and Cleveland Browns in 2014 before he retired to work with the Texas Longhorns in the diversity and community engagement. It would be nice to see Young return to playing football even if it is with the Canadian Football League since many sports experts want him to leave the game of professional football on a positive note.
